I just picked up a few new models from Armaments In Miniature. I got an IL-76, a C-130 and a pair of C-17s. These planes will be very handy when I get my airport boards done.
I have not had much time to work on these planes but I can tell already that they are fine models. I’m very happy with their quality and the customer service from the owner Dave was great. In my own business I try to make customer service my #1 priority and I really appreciate it when I deal with a company that does the same.
Here is what the kit looks like unassembled.

Here it is assembled. I added some landing gear since the plane will be sitting in my airport.

I’m building two racks for storage and transportation of my game boards. The photos below show the first rack being built. The second rack will have more rails that are spaced closer together so it will hold more boards. This one is for my taller boards like the mountains and larger city boards.

Much “artistic license” was taken in the scale of this piece. In actual 1/285th scale this piece should be twice as large as it is, I scaled it down to a point where it would still look really cool but not be so huge.

A few Ratel 20s on the left and some RG-31 Nyalas on the right. The Nyalas look a lot like Cougars or M-ATVs

I’m not a big fan of basing vehicles … but in the case of these miniatures it’s kinda required. Also the firing battery will always be used as single unit.
